Welcome to Rustington Cricket Club

Rustington cricket club is a small well established friendly village club on the Sussex coast, with amazing bar facilities, a good pitch and a great team ethic.

The cricket club was established in 1892 and celebrated its centenary in 1992 by playing a Sussex CCC squad, which included Ian Salisbury in his debut year for England.

The club started league cricket in 1979 and continues today with 3 Saturday league teams in the Sussex Cricket League and a Sunday friendly team.

Rustington cricket club is also promoting a juniors section where all juniors are welcome from all abilities and age groups.

We have a state of the art outdoor twin lane net facility funded by the club providing all weather training.

The club has achieved the ECB's clubmark status, meaning we are a safe club to play for, and we follow the strict guidelines on kids coaching.

ROUNDUPOur First XI lost to @goringbyseacc by 4 wickets. The track proved tough to bat on, with cameos from Martin Reene (35) and Callum Wyatt (28). Unfortunately, the wicket flattened throughout the day, with wickets coming sparse in the second innings. Finlay Gardner took 3/64, being the pick of the bowlers. Player of The Match went to @olliemorris95 for a knock of 28 and bowling figures of 2/31👏Our Second XI beat @ferring_cricket by 72 runs. Being sent out to bat first, the majority of the runs were scored by David Mangold (97), Ed Taylor (71) and Alan Hylands (60), setting a mammoth total of 301 runs. Danny Palmer then shone with the ball taking 4/50, whilst also getting a run out. In the end Ferring fell 72 runs short, continuing our season-long unbeaten streak. Player of The Match went to @dmangold88 for his brutal knock of 97 from just 62 balls, including a 7 sixes! On Sunday our Friendly XI played Chailey CC. Unfortunately, we lost by 8 wickets. However, Ronald Reene shone both with bat and ball, scoring 58 runs and taking 1 wicket for 18 runs. Albeit there was no Player of The Match, Danny Palmer was a strong contender for "Hunk of The Week!"Finally, on Tuesday our Ladies faced @chippcc in the Quarter Finals of The SCF Women's Softball League. Unfortunately, it just wasn't our day against a very strong side. Highlights came especially from our batting, including multiple 4's and 6's! Ginette Hobbs and Charlotte Adfield shone with the bat, both posting 12 runs. Whilst Iily Hobbs and Debbie Hobbs both provided the wickets in our bowling innings. A huge mention to the whole team for reaching the Quarter Finals in just their second ever season, well done to all who played!#rustington #rustingtoncc #uptherustys #sussex #sussexcfscomps #sussexcricketleague #cricket ... A cracking match against Findon where we were brave enough to bat first and we made a good fist of it by posting a competitive total of 119. We got 3 wickets and lasted 15 overs before the runs were knocked off. A great team performance and growing every day! #improvement #season #excitingtimes #Celebration #rustingtonvillage #concentration #teamwork #friendship #FutureOfTheClub #Grassroots #enjoyment #cricketcoaching ... Junior Round Up! The U10s have played two matches in the last two weeks and although we haven’t won yet, we are showing big improvements in every game. We played Goring and Arundel. Well done to the 3 players of the match - Dominic, Archer and Thomas. The U12s played a good and well disciplined Findon team. Although we lost we scored more runs than we usually do, took more wickets than the previous match and saw our player of the match, Tommy, hit 3 sixes!!! On Sunday we welcomed Worthing and Goring to Rustington as we hosted a four team U9 festival. On a glorious day we had a lot of fun and took wickets, got catches, a run out and boundaries. A great success to all those involved. Well done Hugo and Felicity for having a really good festival. Finally, our U14s are in action against Findon tomorrow (24/6/25) in the league and here is how we line up. 🏏🏏#excitingtimes #concentration #enjoyment #season #futureoftheclub #improvement #rustingtonvillage #teamwork #celebration #friendship #grassroots ...
