Welcome to Rustington Cricket Club

Rustington cricket club is a small well established friendly village club on the Sussex coast, with amazing bar facilities, a good pitch and a great team ethic.

The cricket club was established in 1892 and celebrated its centenary in 1992 by playing a Sussex CCC squad, which included Ian Salisbury in his debut year for England.

The club started league cricket in 1979 and continues today with 3 Saturday league teams in the Sussex Cricket League and a Sunday friendly team.

Rustington cricket club is also promoting a juniors section where all juniors are welcome from all abilities and age groups.

We have a state of the art outdoor twin lane net facility funded by the club providing all weather training.

The club has achieved the ECB's clubmark status, meaning we are a safe club to play for, and we follow the strict guidelines on kids coaching.

PROMOTED Our First XI have done it!! Back-to-back promotions means that we will be playing in Division 3 West for the first time in the club's history. Its been an incredible season, and it was topped off by another incredible performance. Going into the game in 3rd place, we knew we needed to win. Inspired knocks from Mac Cox (a well made 93) and Richard Hobbs (62) allowed us to put on a huge 281 for 8 wickets. This was enough for us to defend, with @macleod.cox then taking 4/34, making him our First XI Player of The Match. We had done our part, beating @southwatercc by 76 runs, it was now just down to the other results... The results went our way. In just our first season in Division 4, we have managed to get promoted. It is simply an outstanding achievement! Well done to all who have been involved with the 1's this season👏Unfortunately for our 2's, the story was quite the opposite. Losing to @eastergatecc by 5 wickets, we fall just short of first place, finishing in second. It just wasn't our day sadly. Nonetheless we saw notable performances from Dave Mangold (35) and Ronald Reene (47*) with the bat, with wickets shared between bowlers. For his contributions with the bat and behind the stumps, @ronald.reene was our 2's Player of The Match. This leaves us in the Division 11 West Play Off to be played this Saturday...#rustington #rustingtoncricketclub #rustingtoncc#uptherustys#sussexcricketleague #sussex #cricketlover #cricket ... Good luck to all 22 players this weekend, and let's bring home 60 points!🏏#rustingtoncc #rustington #uptherustys #sussexcricketleague #sussex #cricketlover #cricket ... See MoreSee Less

ROUNDUPOur First XI lost to @slinfoldcc by 13 runs. After an incredible bowling and fielding display, we managed to restrict Slinfold to just 174. The wickets were shared between the bowlers, with Shadreck being the pick of them with 2/20. Unfortunately it was a tricky wicket, with the top order struggling to get going. Nonetheless, an inspiring 10th wicket partnership between Danny Conway (56) and Finlay Gardner (12*) put us an arm's length away. It just wasn't our day in the end, as we fell 13 crucial runs short. Player of The Match went to @dannyconway9 for his knock of 56 and bowling figures of 2/27.Our Second XI beat @aldwickcc by 98 runs. Danny Wood (76) and Cal Adfield (58) set the tone early with an opening partnership of 122! Dave Mangold then hit a brutal 41 off just 21 balls, leading us to end up on 282/8. Significant bowling efforts from Danny Palmer (3/45) and Shay Wheeler (4/50), set us up neatly for our 13th win of the season, as we bowled Aldwick out for 184. Players of The Match went to @ronald.reene and @shayjwheeler08, for Ron's incredible glovework on a tricky wicket and Shay's bowling figures of 4/50.The Third XI’s final league fixture was unfortunately conceded on Saturday, as the opposition were unable to field a team. This result awarded us 30 points, securing 3rd place in the league and recording our highest points total since the team was formed three years ago. This represents a significant achievement and reflects the continued development of the club.In place of the league match, a friendly was arranged against @portsmouthcommunitycc. The opposition proved to be a strong and well-organised side, and while they demonstrated a higher level of play, the fixture provided a valuable and enjoyable contest. @jbp10_53 was named Player of The Match following an excellent all-round performance, contributing 21 runs with the bat and claiming 3 wickets with the ball.#rustingtoncc #rustington #uptherustys #cricketlover #sussexcricketleague #sussex #cricket #wicket ... A cracking match against Findon where we were brave enough to bat first and we made a good fist of it by posting a competitive total of 119. We got 3 wickets and lasted 15 overs before the runs were knocked off. A great team performance and growing every day! #improvement #season #ExcitingTimes #celebration #rustingtonvillage #concentration #teamwork #friendship #FutureOfTheClub #grassroots #enjoyment #cricketcoaching ... Junior Round Up! The U10s have played two matches in the last two weeks and although we haven’t won yet, we are showing big improvements in every game. We played Goring and Arundel. Well done to the 3 players of the match - Dominic, Archer and Thomas. The U12s played a good and well disciplined Findon team. Although we lost we scored more runs than we usually do, took more wickets than the previous match and saw our player of the match, Tommy, hit 3 sixes!!! On Sunday we welcomed Worthing and Goring to Rustington as we hosted a four team U9 festival. On a glorious day we had a lot of fun and took wickets, got catches, a run out and boundaries. A great success to all those involved. Well done Hugo and Felicity for having a really good festival. Finally, our U14s are in action against Findon tomorrow (24/6/25) in the league and here is how we line up. 🏏🏏#excitingtimes #concentration #enjoyment #season #futureoftheclub #improvement #rustingtonvillage #teamwork #celebration #friendship #grassroots ...
