Rustington Cricket Club Sign First-Ever Overseas Player

Rustington Cricket Club is proud to announce the signing of Brian Mudzinganyama as the club’s first-ever overseas player, marking a historic milestone as the club looks ahead to the 2026 season.

Brian brings with him a wealth of international and domestic experience. He has represented Zimbabwe at the highest level, including making a unique Test debut against Sri Lanka in 2020, and has competed for several leading domestic sides such as Zimbabwe A, Southern Rocks, Rangers, and Mashonaland Eagles.

Closer to home, Brian is no stranger to English cricket. He has previously enjoyed successful spells in the UK with Whittington Cricket Club, Wivenhoe Town Cricket Club, and most recently Wellington Cricket Club, competing in the Shropshire County Cricket League. His experience across different conditions and competitive environments will be a valuable asset both on and off the field.

This signing represents an exciting step forward for Rustington Cricket Club and underlines the club’s ambition as preparations begin for the 2026 campaign. Everyone at the club is delighted to welcome Brian to Rustington and looks forward to his contribution as we compete in Division 3 West.

More updates will follow as we continue to build towards what promises to be a landmark season in the club’s history.
